Thomas D. Hollmann, Ph.D.

Tom Hollmann is an Industrial Psychologist with over a quarter century of experience applying behavioral science to human resource management issues in industry. His expertise includes organizational effectiveness, leadership development, executive/management assessment, and employee selection and assessment.

Tom received his Bachelor's degree from Rutgers University in 1966 and the Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota in 1969. From 1969 to 1973 he was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at Wayne State University in Detroit.

In 1973 Tom joined the General Electric Company. He spent two years with the Appliance Component Business in Fort Wayne and then nine years as the senior industrial psychologist on the Corporate Human Resources staff in Fairfield, Connecticut. He was responsible for the design of GE's corporate attitude survey programs, the development of numerous selection and training techniques and a wide range of research projects in support of human resource practices. Tom also consulted on a variety of management and organizational effectiveness issues in the U.S. and internationally.

From 1985 to 1988 Tom worked as an independent consultant before returning to GE's Aerospace Business as Manager, Training & Development and later, Manager, Organizational Effectiveness. When GE Aerospace was acquired by Martin Marietta, Tom left to re-establish Mainsail Associates, Inc.

Tom is the author of numerous journal articles and technical reports. He is a member of the Society of Industrial and Organizational Psychology, The Dearborn Group, The Summit Group, and is a past chairman of The Mayflower Group.
